SPRING FAIR 2017

SPRING FAIR 2017 UPDATE POST SHOW

Hello and wow didn't the time go so quickly last week. We had a fantastic stand at the Spring Fair and met some great people. Excited to get back to the studio and tell everyone about our time there and whats coming up. We have plenty of interest on design licensing, so pleased, more news on this later on but 2017 is looking great so far. Lots to see at the show, seems that bling will be the key word for interiors, saw lots of very ornate metallic and sparkly effects on prints and posters. Lovely weave effects on textiles and 3 dimensional illusional designs and as always flowers were forever present from traditional rendering through to modern loose styles. Still evident are flamingoes which I would have thought by now would be fading away, but owls are still strongly evident and they have been with us for some time. Nature and animals playing a big part in home accessories and interiors and paper products. With the current auction of Alice in Wonderland collectables characters and images are making a fresh re-emergence, saw a lot of evidence of this in most halls. In the greeting cards market I am becoming increasingly aware that WORDS and SAYINGS seem to be the prevalent trend but will the market become too flooded? Our collection of Metallica copper foiled saying cards do well but we continue to add to our successful floral and retro vintage looks which always sell well. NEW CRAFT PAPERS FROM TRIMCRAFT DESIGNED BY LINDA WOOD

So excited to share these pictures of 2 new ranges of craft paper recently launched by Trimcraft, so enjoyed working on these two very different collections, but both look stunning and the talented crafters have produced some lovely cards. Black Out is solely black and white and makes a great masculine look there's fun geometrics and lovely textural effects. Story Teller was terrific to work on, based around Indian styles and motifs in gorgeous rich colours with the added elements of gold and pearlescent papers. Looks so rich and elegant it's sure to be a winner. The Trimcraft team have done an excellent job on the graphics and they are great to work with as always .
