MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone. We are very busy at the moment preparing for Top Drawer next month. We have a super new card collection launch with new gift wrap designs all will be revealed at the show. Our stand number is E27, it will be our usual signature design, described by one Queen of cards as exquisite, now thats a huge compliment. I'll be posting photo's as soon as the show is over. TOP DRAWER SEPTEMBER 2012 - WHAT A SUCCESS!

Hi, its been extremely busy here at Linda Wood Studio over the past few months. Just a quick update on what's been happening. As you can see we exhibited at Top Drawer in September to huge success. We had added around 35 new card designs, some for Spring season and some great male orientated cards of which we were a little short of, all retro based for our Vintage Nostalgia collection. You can see the teal bubble card (just) in lower right corner on the stand design above. Our card ranges are doing well and we have new agents on board here in UK, its looking like 2013 is going to be just great.  Posting some of our new cards next.

NEW CARD EDITIONS FOR SPRING 2013

We've been very busy in September, exhibited at Top Drawer, Olympia, which was a fantastic success with lots of new stockists. We've had repeat large orders from our distributors. And finally we've had time (just about!) to add some new designs to three of our card ranges, Vintage Rose, Kimono and Vintage Nostalgia. NEW DISTRIBUTORS FOR CARD RANGE

Great news over the past few months on our card publishing side of the business. Both PG Live and the Spring fair were very successful, not only that we have now linked up with three great distributors who love our cards, Image Gallery in New Zealand, McMillan Cards in Australia and Putinki Oy in Finland. NEW TRADE CATALOGUE LINDA WOOD PRODUCT

Our greeting cards, gift wrap and bag catalogue available on the web site, in a beautiful magazine format its easy to view. There is also a gallery of all the product separate to this magazine, as it will not work with iphones or ipads (how ridiculous is that!). Our new 'EASY LIVING' collection has been added, this has gone down a storm. GO TAKE A LOOK! Orders have been rolling in so we have really got our collections spot on for today's trends.

GRAHAM AND BROWN NEW CANVAS PRINTS

Hi, just received news that my three dahlia photographic canvases now for sale on the Graham and Brown site, fantastic! So vibrant and bound to make an impact in any room, must be successful they are out of stock currently. They co-ordinate with the jewel anemone canvases they produced earlier on this year.

NEW 'EASY LIVING' CARD COLLECTION

Well here it is folks, our brand new range of cards 'EASY LIVING' a retro based collection aimed at a younger market and bang on trend in colour palette and imagery. A fun lively range of designs, I particularly love the radios and furniture ones. I thought I'd gone out on a limb with these ideas but everyone loved them. Hope you do too! PG LIVE WHAT A GREAT SHOW WE HAD!

PG LIVE last week was fabulous, so well done to the organisers and of course all the visitors who made it to the show. Our product went down a storm, the stand was loved by everyone and looked gorgeous, classy and very up market, lots of compliments from visitors as well as from fellow exhibitors which is always lovely to hear. Our new range of cards 'Easy Living' (more of those in a minute) were loved, all were ordered which was fantastic. Two new distributors on board, Australia and Finland with another from Canada about to confirm order, so how good is that. We are all very busy getting all the orders together and the printers going to be very happy as we will have our largest print order to date by the end of this week. Who said there was a recession?

LINDA WOOD NEW GREETING CARD RANGE LAUNCHED TODAY

EXCITING NEWS! We have just launched our new greeting card range ready for PG Live at the end of this month. It's called 'EASY LIVING' a young bang on trend range, the collection theme is retro homestyles, fun and quirky, the colour palette is right now and we are over the moon with the 'LOOK'. All cards are 15cm x 15cm blank, on quality FSC accredited board, all cello wrapped with a lovely white hammered envelope. 12 Cards in total. IMAGE GALLERY NEW ZEALAND ORDER OUR CARDS

Hi folks, apologies on the quality of this photo but from a magazine and very small, but it's taken from Progressive Greetings Magazine this month and the lovely people are Deirdre Robinson and her husband David both directors of Image Gallery New Zealand. We met during the Spring Fair, our first show for the cards and they loved the range. Its taken a while to get going but they gave us a fantastic order in April which has now been printed and despatched, our first venture overseas and we are over the moon. I was even more elated when I came across this picture in the magazine, at first glance I thought what lovely colourful cards in the background and then realised they were ours, just to the left of Deirdre's shoulder. So very pleased to see them and hope they are successful. From everything I read in the magazine this month and with the demise of Clinton Cards it seems that retailers and cards are having a tough time all over the globe. Come on folks they do not cost that much and just imagine the smile on someones face when they unexpectedly get one in the post. Cards are a great way to brighten up a day even if its just to say hi! Thank you Deirdre and David for giving us the opportunity.

LINDA WOOD IN PROGRESSIVE GREETINGS MAGAZINE

Hi everyone, just received my copy of Progressive Greetings and three mentions for us in there this month. How great is that! As part of the Springboard section at PG Live in just over two weeks time I was given the opportunity to explain how and why I got into publishing greeting cards. There is also an advert highlighting our stand and participation. See below. We have a new range of cards to be launched at the show and these will be available for viewing in our new catalogue beginning of next week.

LINDA WOOD BRAND NEW SUMMER BLOOMS COLLECTION RELEASED!

Well it should be Spring and I was looking forward to Summer around the corner, however the weather is still stuck in winter mode, what happened! I've brushed all that aside and put together a retrospective collection of summer bloom collections. There's an air of traditionalism, pretty flowers in all sorts of colours, its that vintage safe house in times of uncertainty and austerity. Its safe, warm and something to cuddle up to and with flourish scatter those lovely flowers around the house and garden. See its easy! Linda Wood Greeting Cards, Gift Wrap and Gift Bags have a brand new catalogue available for viewing on the Product web site. We are all over the moon with this new up to date look and it shows the product off fantastically. Its easy to view in magazine format and the high resolution means you can really see the detail in all of the beautiful designs. We'll be updating it before Progressive Greetings Live with a new range of cards, which will be more than a little different from what we have done in the past. Exciting times! Keep posted.

YIPPEE! OUR PRINTED GIFT WRAP ARRIVES AND IT LOOKS GREAT.

Such a great day, our double sided printed gift wrap arrived yesterday, it looks great and the quality is just excellent, thank you James Stewart Printers. They have been fantastic, helped enormously and delivered on time. The two designs co-ordinate with our Kimono range of cards and Vintage Rose range of cards. Both printed front and back so you get two designs for the price of one, means you can be really inventive with your packaging design to make the most of both sides. PROUD TO BE MADE IN BRITAIN!

Just received our Made in Britain logo, so pleased to have this we can now add it to our literature and web site for our greeting cards and wrapping paper. We so want to support manufacturers here, our paper and printing is all British based.

HERE'S A LITTLE SNIPPET FROM SURTEX 2011 - THE PARTY!

Hi, just saw this on the Surtex site. A photo of me and Stuart with a few other UK designers enjoying the 25th Anniversary Party. A great time was had by all. I hadn't shown at Surtex for about 6 years so it was good to back, despite the rain. However I did show at the very first one in 1986 up until 2004 so felt a veteran too that night at the party. This year we are showing at Progressive Live which is right on Surtex so not participating this year sadly. But extremely excited about Progressive Live we'll be showing our new range of cards launched at the Spring Fair this month and we will be adding two NEW ranges both very different but both having a WOW factor. See updates as they are posted.

SPRING FAIR UPDATE POST SHOW 2012

Here's a few pictures of our stand at the Spring Fair. Giant giraffes, penguins, and Japanese dolls, the floral sausage dog went down a storm. All the cards, wrap, gift bags and design licensing were very well received with orders and work for both. The show however from listening to fellow exhibitors who have shown before was slow and less foot fall than usual. Whether that was the weather (snow) or just the economic climate we do not know. All I can say is we were over the moon! More news to follow in the next few days.

SPRING FAIR UPDATE 4TH DAY

Spring Fair 4th Day...The cards, gift wrap and bags are going down a storm. We've had lots of orders and distributors from over 5 countries wanting to represent our ranges. Very excited about all the positive response. Vintage Rose range has proved to be very popular.
